North Yorkshire Police Search for Attempted Murder Suspect

North Yorkshire Police are urging the public for information regarding the whereabouts of Jack Crawley, 19, wanted on suspicion of attempted murder. Authorities are cautioning against approaching Crawley but instead asking individuals to report any potential sightings.

The investigation stems from an attack near the village of Acaster Malbis, York, on the evening of Friday, January 5. A manhunt is currently underway, led by North Yorkshire Police, in connection with the attempted murder.

Crawley, originally from Carlisle, is known to have connections in Leeds, Rotherham, Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Edinburgh, suggesting he may be traveling across various locations. Described as white, 6ft 3ins tall, of proportionate build with very short hair and facial hair, Crawley is left-handed and wears size 9.5 footwear.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Crawley’s location to contact the police directly. To provide information to the investigation team, individuals can use the online reporting platform by navigating to the North Yorkshire Police tile and selecting the appropriate investigation.

In case of a sighting, the public is advised not to confront Crawley directly. Instead, individuals should immediately dial 999 as soon as it is safe to do so.
