Met’s Counter Terrorism Team Leads Probe

The Met’s Counter Terrorism Command is at the forefront of the investigation. They are working closely with the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit and UK Border Force to keep the public safe.

“Across the UK, there is a network of counter-terrorism officers working at our ports and borders,” said Commander Richard Smith, head of the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.

“The public’s support is also critical, and as the terrorist threat level remains high, I would ask the public to remain vigilant, and if you see or hear anything that doesn’t seem right, please report it to us.”
