Woman Dies in Horror Dorset Crash Involving Three Cars
Dorset Police were called to a fatal crash just after midnight on Sunday 18 December 2022. The horror smash happened on the B3091 south of Shaftesbury, near Cole’s Lane junction.
Three vehicles were involved: a red Vauxhall Corsa, a blue Vauxhall Astra, and a blue Citroen Berlingo.
Tragic Fatality and Injuries
The driver of the Astra, a woman in her 40s from Sturminster Newton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been informed.
The Corsa’s driver, a local woman in her 20s, suffered injuries that are not believed to be serious and received treatment.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Sgt Mark Scammell from the traffic unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who sadly died in this collision. We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of what happened.”
“I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, who has not already spoken to police to please get in touch to assist our investigation.”
He also thanked the public for their patience during road closures while emergency services dealt with the scene.
