Vanished! Sarah Everard Disappears After Night Out in Clapham

Sarah Everard, 33, went missing after leaving a friend’s house in Clapham on the evening of Wednesday, 3 March. At around 9pm, she exited the property on Leathwaite Road via a back gate onto the A205 South Circular, beginning her walk home to Brixton.

She was thought to have crossed Clapham Common and was expected home within 50 minutes. But Sarah never arrived, and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Family Pleads: “Please Help Find Sarah”

Sarah’s family made a heartfelt statement: “With every day that goes by, we’re growing more desperate. Sarah is always in touch with us and her friends – it is totally out of character for her to vanish like this. We just want her safe and back with us.”

They continued, “We’re so thankful to the police and everyone helping. If you know anything, no matter how small, please come forward and speak to the police.”

Police Hunt Clues: Public Urged to Check Footage

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Kenward from the Central South Public Protection Team said, “Sarah’s disappearance is unlike her, and naturally her loved ones are extremely worried. Our officers are working around the clock to find her.”

He urged anyone in the Clapham Common area on Wednesday night to think carefully if they saw Sarah or anything suspicious.

Police are also asking residents to check doorbell and dashcam footage around these key areas:

  • A205 South Circular near Clapham Common
  • Cavendish Road
  • New Park Road
  • Brixton Hill
  • Brixton Water Lane

What Sarah Was Wearing & Ongoing Searches

Last seen in a green rain jacket, navy blue trousers with a white diamond pattern, and turquoise and orange trainers, Sarah was also thought to be wearing green earphones and a white beanie hat.

Specialist officers and volunteers from London Search and Rescue are scouring Clapham Common and the route between Clapham and Brixton.
