Fatal Cyclist Crash on A414: Police Probe Continues

Tragedy struck early Thursday morning when a 33-year-old cyclist from Takeley was killed in a collision with a Vauxhall Zafira on the A414 in North Weald.

Fatal Crash Details

Police were called to the scene at around 5.20am on 8 October, where the cyclist met a fatal end at the junction with Vicarage Lane. Emergency services, including paramedics and the air ambulance, rushed to help but the man sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the Vauxhall sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. The road was closed for hours while officers examined the crash site.

Witness Appeal: Two Vehicles Spotted Post-Crash

Officers are urgently seeking information from the drivers of two vehicles seen passing the scene shortly after the collision, both heading towards Harlow. These witnesses could hold crucial details about what happened.
