M27 Chaos as Car Skids Out and Smacks Crash Barriers
One lane on the M27 Eastbound is slammed shut tonight after a car lost control and crashed into the hard shoulder barriers. The smash happened between Junction 11 for Fareham and Junction 12 for Cosham.
Traffic Snarls as Recovery Underway
Lane one and the hard shoulder remain closed, causing tailbacks as drivers slow down to gawk at the recovery efforts. Thankfully, the driver isn’t believed to have suffered serious injuries.
Aquaplaning Horror on Rainsoaked Road
A black Nissan reportedly hit a patch of surface water after heavy rain, aquaplaned, and careened off the main carriageway. The car smashed into a crash barrier, then spun around, ending up facing oncoming traffic.
Specialist Recovery Team at Scene
Experts from Boarhunt Garage, working alongside Hampshire Road Policing officers, are on site recovering the vehicle. The lane closure is expected to last until around 7:45pm, so expect delays if you’re heading that way.
