Hill Head Coastguard teams teamed up with the Royal Navy Bomb Disposal experts after a member of the public spotted suspicious items at Browndown training camp today.

Officials confirmed that two pieces of inert ordnance were uncovered this afternoon, sparking a swift response. Luckily, the items posed no immediate danger.

Royal Navy Experts Secure and Remove Threat

The bomb disposal squad arrived quickly and safely carted away the devices from the beach. The ordnance has now been locked away in a secure location, awaiting disposal.

Thanks to the sharp eye of a passerby and rapid action by the coastguard and Navy, Browndown is safe once more.
