Pensioner hit by Single Decker First Bus in Southampton

Police are appealing for information following a collision between a pedestrian and a bus in Southampton. At around 9.30am on Friday, October 21, the 88-year-old pedestrian was crossing the road at the junction of Shirley High Street and Park Road when he was involved in a road traffic collision involving a singer decker bus. The man sustained significant injuries to his leg and is being treated at Southampton General Hospital. PC Carl Osman, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this collision between a First bus and a pedestrian to come forward. “The area would have been extremely busy at that time of day and it is very likely that lots of people would have seen what happened. I would also like to speak to any drivers who were in the area who may have dash cameras. “If you do have information, please get in touch and help us with our investigation.”
