Man in his 80s Seriously Injured in Milford Pedestrian Crash

A man believed to be in his 80s has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a car on Chapel Lane, Milford, yesterday evening.

Collision Sparks Emergency Response

The crash happened at around 5.40pm on 11 November, right opposite Milford village hall. Surrey Roads Policing attended the scene alongside Surrey Fire and Rescue crews. The man was so badly hurt, the air ambulance was called in to airlift him to hospital. The female driver escaped unscathed.

Road Closed, Police Hunt Witnesses

Chapel Lane remains shut near the junction with the A3100 portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth Road. Fire crews drenched the collision site as a safety precaution. The closure is expected to last until at least 10.30pm while investigators piece together what happened, including skid tests on the road surface.

Surrey Police Collision Investigation Team is appealing for anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam footage from the area around that time. Witnesses are urged to call 101 with reference P17284890, report online, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
