Man Attacked After Tesco Shop Run in Salisbury

A man suffered punches and dog bites after a late-night stroll turned violent on Bridge Road, Salisbury.

Shocking Attack Outside King’s Head Pub

Just after 10pm, the victim was walking home with groceries from Tesco Metro when two men sat opposite the King’s Head pub caught his eye. One had a dog. Suddenly, one man accused the victim of kicking his dog. Things quickly escalated as the man pushed and punched the victim in the face.

Dog Bites on Bus During Dramatic Escape

The victim fled and boarded the PR3 bus near the British Heart Foundation shop. But the attacker and his bulldog-type dog followed him on board. A scuffle broke out on the bus, and the victim was bitten twice—once on the back of his knee and once on his upper leg.

Thankfully, the bus driver helped the victim to safety. He was later treated for his injuries at Salisbury A&E.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

  • The attacker is described as a white man, about 5ft 7in, moderately built, wearing dark jogging bottoms.
  • The dog is black, squat, bulldog-like, with a short snout.
