Portsmouth Rockets to the Rescue as Foodbank Shelves Bare
Portsmouth’s spirit shone bright after the North End Baptist Church Foodbank faced a desperate crisis. Shelves were stripped bare by overwhelming demand, leaving volunteers scrambling for supplies.
Pompey Volunteers Flooded with Donations
True to Pompey form, the local community rallied hard. Donations poured in non-stop, filling the empty shelves in record time. Volunteer Helen Hitchings gushed:
“Portsmouth, you are amazing – just back from North End Food Bank where we have been overwhelmed by donations. The shelves are full again and many families went home with bags full of food today – what a difference from Tuesday!”
