Police appeal after cyclist is killed in Greenwich

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) have named a cyclist killed in a collision in Greenwich. Police were called at approximately 8.25am on Friday, 18 May to reports of a lorry in collision with a cyclist on Woolwich Road, SE10. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. The cyclist was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. He has been formally identified 37-year-old Edgaras Cepura from Greenwich. The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision, but has not yet contacted police, to call the SCIU on 020 8285 1574. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
