Heron Shot Dead in Hartley Wintney: Police Launch Appeal
Police are hunting for info after a wild heron was cruelly killed in Hartley Wintney. The bird was shot at around 8.15pm on Saturday, 14 July, at Causeway Pond on Cricket Green.
Airgun Suspected in Wildlife Crime
It’s a serious offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to intentionally kill or injure wild birds. Cops believe an airgun or BB gun was used to take down the heron.
