Fatal Collision on M20 Coastbound Sparks Urgent Witness Appeal
Police are hunting for witnesses after a deadly crash on the M20 coastbound last Friday night (14 February 2025).
Driver Struck on Hard Shoulder
At around 10:19pm, a blue Kia Carens was parked on the hard shoulder between junctions eight and nine. The 71-year-old driver got out of the vehicle when tragedy struck – he was hit by an Iveco box van.
Tragic Loss and Injuries
- The 71-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
- His next of kin have been informed.
- A female passenger in the Kia suffered minor injuries.
The truck driver is assisting Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) with the ongoing inquiry.
Police Launch Major Investigation & Call for Dashcam Footage
Kent Police urge anyone who witnessed the crash or was driving nearby to come forward. They are especially keen to get hold of dashcam footage from that night.
