The Met confirmed officers were called at 12:37pm on Friday, January 14, following reports of suspicious packages inside a residential building. A tight cordon was swiftly put in place as bomb-trained officers assessed the scene.

“Following assessment, the items were not deemed to pose a risk to the public and the cordon was lifted,” a Met spokesperson said.

Despite the intense operation, no threat was found and normal traffic flow resumed.
