Major Road Shut in Fulham
Emergency crews assembled at a rendezvous point near Normand Croft as officers investigated the suspicious items. The Met Police shut both directions of a key Fulham road, causing disruption for hours while specialists carried out their checks.
False Alarm After Intense Search
The Met confirmed officers were called at 12:37pm on Friday, January 14, following reports of suspicious packages inside a residential building. A tight cordon was swiftly put in place as bomb-trained officers assessed the scene.
“Following assessment, the items were not deemed to pose a risk to the public and the cordon was lifted,” a Met spokesperson said.
Despite the intense operation, no threat was found and normal traffic flow resumed.
