A28 Pin Hill Shut After Lorry Smashes Railings Near Canterbury East Station
Crash Chaos on Pin Hill
A section of the A28 Pin Hill in Canterbury is closed after a lorry careered into the central reservation near Canterbury East railway station. The smash caused metal railings to buckle and sent debris flying into a passing car.
Emergency services raced to the scene just before 4:18 PM today. A police spokesperson said:
“Officers attended the scene where a car had also been struck by debris from the collision. The car driver reported a minor injury, and a lane is closed while arrangements are underway to recover the lorry.”
Traffic Impact & Recovery Underway
The outside lanes on both sides of Pin Hill remain shut as crews work to clear the wreckage and fix the damaged barriers.
Despite the chaos, traffic is flowing fairly smoothly, but drivers are urged to find alternative routes to dodge any hold-ups.
