Police Hunt Man after Cowes Hotel Burglary

Do you recognise this man? Police would like to speak to him following a burglary at the Fountain Hotel, in High Street, Cowes, which happened on March 20, between 3.45am and 4.30am. The thief forced their way into an office at the hotel and stole a safe and a large amount of cash. He was wearing a hooded top with gloves and was seen walking to and from Terminus Road carrying what is believed to be the safe in a backpack. Do you recognise the man in the CCTV image? Did you see someone matching this description in the area at around the time of the incident? Officers have also released an image of the safe which was stolen and are appealing for anyone who may have spotted this to call us. Members of the public are urged to call police immediately if they find the safe without touching or moving it.
