Search Intensifies for Missing Isle of Wight Woman Rosie Johnson
22-Year-Old Rosie Vanishes from Wootton Activity Centre
Police are urgently hunting for 22-year-old Rosie Johnson, last seen on the Isle of Wight on Sunday, 23 June. The Glasgow native works at Little Canada activity centre in Wootton and vanished from the centre that evening.
Rosie is slim with mousey brown hair. She was wearing a dark blue puffa jacket and trousers when she went missing.
Massive Search Underway Around Wootton Creek
Officers, Isle of Wight Search and Rescue, Hampshire Search and Rescue, and the Coastguard are combing the Wootton Creek area in a desperate bid to find her. Rosie’s family are being supported and kept updated throughout the search operation.
Police Plea to Local Community
Inspector Andy MacDonald said, “We have serious concerns for Rosie’s welfare. Information suggests she is still on the island, so this is where we are focussing our search.”
He urged local residents: “Please check any sheds, outbuildings or boats in the area. Carry out a thorough search and call us on 101 if you see or find anything that could help.”
“You will notice increased police activity around Wootton today. If you have concerns, please come and talk to us.”
