Shock on M27: Mother of Three Found Dead on Motorway
Police are hunting for witnesses after the body of 32-year-old Lucy Page was discovered on the M27 on Tuesday, December 15. The Fareham mum-of-three was found in the middle lane near the Down End Road Bridge, close to junction 11 westbound.
Tragic Scene on Busy Motorway
It’s believed Lucy was on the bridge moments before the incident and may have had contact with a lorry before ending up on the carriageway. The lorry driver from southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton was left stunned but unharmed. Lucy was sadly declared dead at the scene.
Heartbroken Partner Pays Tribute
“I’m sure with how rapid social media is nowadays, many of our friends are aware of Lucy’s passing,” said Jon Cunningham, Lucy’s partner. “I would like to acknowledge and express our appreciation for all the messages of support we have received at this desperate, desperate time for myself and my young family.
“As all of you who knew her, Lucy really was the best person to know, the best mother to our children, and the best friend anyone could have… she was and is my best friend.
“We, as a family, would appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this most tragic time in our lives.”
Police Urge Anyone Who Saw What Happened to Come Forward
Officers continue to appeal for witnesses to help piece together the events leading up to this devastating tragedy on the M27. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police immediately.
