Police Seek Man in Connection with Flashing Incidents on London Buses – UKNIP

London police are on the hunt for a man suspected of indecent exposure in two separate incidents on city buses. Two images of the individual have been released as authorities seek information about his whereabouts and identity.

The man in question is described as having dark-coloured skin, a black beard, and long hair that is either tied up or covered with a black headband. In one of the images, he can be seen wearing a black coat with the hood pulled over his head, while in the other, he is wearing a dark green jacket and light-coloured trousers.

The first incident occurred around 8 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, on the Route 31 bus in Camden. According to the police, the female victim boarded the bus at Avenue Road, Belsize Park, and the suspect sat directly behind her. When the victim looked at him, she saw that he was indecently exposing himself. The suspect then placed his foot in front of the victim, preventing her from leaving the bus.

The second incident took place at 4:37 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. The victim boarded the bus at Victoria Street, SW1, and travelled on route 170 towards Roehampton. During the journey, she observed a man indecently exposing himself while holding a phone. When she shouted at him, the suspect responded by asking if she had a cigarette.

Detective Sergeant Matthew Brown, who is leading the investigation, stated, “Nobody should ever have to witness indecent exposure and experience this abhorrent crime when travelling on London’s bus network. We remain resolute in our commitment to protect women and girls across London.”

He continued, “The Met is dedicated to targeting offenders, eradicating sexual violence, and supporting those who are impacted. If you know or have seen this man on London bus routes, please do come forward with any further information to support our investigation.

Authorities have urged anyone who recognizes the man or has information about these incidents to contact them at 101 or via ‘X’ @MetCC, quoting CAD 1991/08SEPT23. For those who wish to remain anonymous, the independent charity Crimestoppers can be reached at 0800 555 111.
