Portsmouth’s Kooky Comedy Duo Hit TV Screens This Spring

The wildest comedy duo on the stand-up scene, the Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue, are gearing up for their biggest break yet. The eccentric pair from Gosport and Fareham will feature in a major new TV show, recorded live at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival this March.

From Local Legends to National TV Stars

Raymond and Mr Timpkins, the “specialist purveyors of sandal-based choreography solutions,” have become fan favourites thanks to their madcap antics and hilarious spins on pop music and misheard lyrics. Mr Timpkins boasts an Old Etonian background and “Oxford scholar” credentials (well, sort of), while his unhinged nephew Raymond keeps audiences in stitches.

‘Comedians at the Kings’ to Showcase UK’s Finest

The duo will star on the new series Comedians at the Kings, filmed at Glasgow’s opulent Kings Theatre. This top-tier comedy gala aims to bring a generation of comedy legends to the small screen — all with decades of headline experience.

Sharing the bill are big names like Richard Herring (from cult hit Lee & Herring), Ninia Benjamin (3 Non Blondes), Jo Caulfield, John Moloney, and Fred Macaulay among others.

TV Premiere Set for 2024

Shot by Edinburgh’s Dabster Productions, the series promises a masterclass in British comedy and is expected to air later this year. For Raymond and Mr Timpkins, it’s the national spotlight they’ve long deserved — from quirky local favourites to comedy TV stars!
