Swirl Plus Mouthwash Recalled Over Bacterial Risk
The Office for Product Safety and Standards has issued an urgent recall for Swirl Plus 500ml and 30ml Mouthwash. Several batches have been found contaminated with harmful bacteria, posing a health risk to users.
Spot the Dangerous Batches
If you’ve got Swirl Plus Mouthwash, check the batch number NOW. The recall covers dozens of batches including 94292, 22146M, 22151M, 22317, 5111 through to 5230, plus many more. This blue mouthwash comes in clear plastic bottles with white lids and is mainly for orthodontic use.
Bacterial Contamination Triggers Action
Tests revealed an unknown strain of pseudomonas bacteria lurking in the product, breaching safety regulations (Regulation 1223/2009 and the Cosmetic Products Enforcement Regulations 2013). This sparked the immediate recall to protect customers from potential harm.
