Red Arrows Jet Drama at Farnborough: Tyre Bursts on Landing

A Red Arrows jet hit trouble at Farnborough Airport this afternoon when it burst a tyre while landing. Emergency crews sprang into action as the pilot brought the plane down safely.

Emergency Services Rush In

Fire and rescue teams from Farnborough and Hampshire were on the scene immediately. The pilot, flying from RAF Fairford, walked away unscathed. Airport fire crews quickly cleared the runway, removing tyre debris and other foreign objects.

Runway Shut Down to Clear the Mess

Officials closed the runway to all air traffic while the damaged tyre remnants were cleared to keep the tarmac safe for other flights.
