Crash Chaos Shuts Bramcote Lane in Wollaton

A major incident on Bramcote Lane, Wollaton, has brought the area to a standstill this afternoon. The crash happened at around 3.50pm on 20 March.

Emergency services scrambled to the scene, forcing authorities to shut Bramcote Lane from the Wollaton Vale roundabout all the way to Parkside. The road closure is expected to last for several hours as responders manage the situation.

Traffic Chaos: Drivers Urged to Avoid the Area

Motorists are advised to steer clear of Bramcote Lane while emergency crews carry out their work. Traffic is currently being diverted off at the Wollaton Vale roundabout, with drivers sent up Alreston Drive to bypass the blockage.

Authorities Seek Witnesses

Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Witnesses can call 101 and quote incident number 438 of 20 March 2023.

Chief Inspector Paul Hennessy said: “Emergency services will remain at the scene for some time while we continue our investigations. I’d like to thank people for their patience as we continue to respond to this ongoing incident.”
