Drivers brace yourselves! A spell of heavy snow is set to hit southeast England from 6pm tonight until 9am Monday, December 12. Expect a mix of rain, sleet, and snow that will slow down to a crawl overnight before easing off Monday morning.
Snowfall and Ice Threaten to Bring Travel to a Halt
Forecasters warn of 2-5cm snow accumulations, with some spots in East Sussex, Kent, Essex, and Hertfordshire possibly seeing up to 10cm. Ice is expected to form on untreated surfaces, especially near coastal areas where rain or sleet is likely.
