Ryde Lifeboat Heroes Rescue Engine-Less Boat in the Solent
Volunteers from Ryde’s independent lifeboat sprang into action this afternoon after the UK Coastguard called for help. A 25-foot motorboat had lost its engine in the Solent, just off the Isle of Wight.
Swift Tow to Safety
The lifeboat crew quickly rigged a towline between their vessel, Ryde Rescue 1, and the stricken motorboat. They hauled the powerless boat back to shore without a hitch.
All Crew Safe and Sound
Thankfully, all aboard the disabled boat were safe. There were no casualties reported during the dramatic rescue.
