Missing Dartford Man Sparks Urgent Police Hunt

Search Intensifies for Wayne Parchment

Wayne Parchment, 61, has been missing from Dartford for over a week. The desperate hunt ramps up as police and volunteers continue searching key local spots.

Wayne was last spotted by a relative on Thursday, 10 April, near Spital Street. CCTV later showed him entering Central Park from Market Street at 9.46am the next day, lingering near the park’s bandstand — the crucial lead in the case.

Massive Search Operation Underway

Specialist officers are scouring Central Park, Brooklands Lake, and surrounding areas. The National Police Air Service and Kent Search and Rescue teams have joined ground and aerial efforts, combing the town tirelessly.

Chief Inspector Lee Cheesman urged the public to stay alert: “Our last sighting of Wayne was on CCTV a week ago. Our searches will continue over the Bank Holiday weekend, and I am urging local people living close to the park, including the Tree Estate, to check their properties, gardens and outbuildings. Cyclists, dog walkers and others who are out and about in the town and surrounding areas are also asked to remain vigilant.”
