The A2 westbound towards London is shut after a serious multi-vehicle crash close to junction 2 of the M25. Emergency crews have been on the scene all afternoon tackling the chaos caused by the collision, which involved four vehicles, including one that overturned.

Massive Tailbacks as Traffic Ground to a Halt
The crash has caused severe delays, with three lanes on the A2 westbound still closed. According to AA Maps, tailbacks stretch all the way back to Gravesend and Tollgate Services. Drivers face long waits, with disruption expected until around 7pm.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area if they can and prepare for lengthy delays as recovery teams work to clear the scene.
