Crash Crash: Serious Crash on Wareham Bypass Leaves Biker Fighting for Life
Police urge witnesses and dashcam heroes to step forward after a nasty collision on the A351 Wareham bypass.
Crash Details: Ford Meets Triumph
The smash happened just before 5pm on Sunday, 12 May 2024. A grey Ford C-Max and a black Triumph motorcycle collided near the junction with the A352 Worgret Road.
The biker, a man in his 50s from Poole, was rushed to hospital with serious, life-changing injuries. The Ford driver escaped with only minor cuts and bruises.
Road Closures and Police Probes
Emergency crews closed the road while they sorted the mess and examined the scene. The closure lasted until about 7.30pm.
Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill from the traffic unit said: “I’m keen to speak to any witnesses in the area. If you’ve got dashcam footage that might help, please get in touch.”
He added, “Thanks to everyone for their patience while we managed the road closures.”
