Unmanned Life Raft Sparks Urgent Launch
Shoreham RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat was scrambled last Friday afternoon after a passing vessel spotted an unoccupied life raft drifting six miles southwest of Worthing Pier.
Swift Rescue and Search Operation
The brave lifeboat crew quickly retrieved the life raft and scoured the nearby waters for any sign of trouble. Thankfully, no persons were found in the area.
Raft Returned to Fishing Vessel
Investigations revealed the raft had come loose from a fishing boat. The crew safely returned it to the vessel located east of the wind farm before heading back to base.
