Blaze Breaks Out at Park Royal Metal Factory

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters battled a fierce fire at a metalwork factory on Chase Road, Park Royal, yesterday morning.

Extraction System Goes Up in Flames

The flames badly damaged both the internal and external extraction systems of the building. Six people managed to escape before the fire brigade arrived, with no injuries reported.

Fire Brigade Brings Blaze Under Control

The Brigade was called at 10.19am. Fire crews from Acton, North Kensington, and Ealing stations worked quickly to get the fire under control by just before 2pm.

Accidental Fire Linked to Extraction System

Investigators believe the fire was accidental, sparked by materials igniting inside the extraction system.
