Sixty firefighters and officers have been scrambled to tackle a fierce blaze engulfing a commercial building in Wembley.
Massive Fire Erupts on East Lane
The fire tore through the first two floors of an industrial estate on East Lane, sending thick smoke billowing across the area. Fire control received over 35 emergency calls shortly before 7pm on Friday.
Multiple Fire Engines Mobilised
Eight fire engines from Wembley, Northolt, Stanmore, and Park Royal stations are at the scene battling the flames. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Transport Chaos Hits Commuters
The blaze has triggered delays on the Stonebridge Park to Harrow & Wealdstone line due to an earlier fire alert near North Wembley station. London Buses are currently accepting train tickets to ease travel disruption.
