Locked In: Panic at Bexleyheath Academy

Fire crews from the London Fire Brigade rushed to Bexleyheath Academy on Woolwich Road at around 8pm last Friday. A large group got stuck inside the school’s sports block after a lock jammed on the main door.

Swift Rescue Operation

School staff quickly called the fire service to free those trapped inside. Using small tools, firefighters prised open the faulty lock and safely released everyone.

All Safe, No Injuries

Thankfully, no one was hurt during the dramatic lock-in. The cause behind the jammed lock is still unknown.
