New Look to Shut 60 UK Stores – But Local Shops Safe For Now
Fashion giant New Look has revealed plans to close 60 of its 593 UK stores amid tough trading conditions and a tricky retail climate. But local fans can breathe easy: all nearby stores are safe—if creditors back the financial rescue plan set for a crucial vote on 21 March 2018.
Flagship Oxford Street Store Among 60 Slated for Closure
The closures include high-profile branches like the flagship Oxford Street store in London, plus six more locations currently sub-let to other retailers. New Look is also pushing for rent cuts and refreshed lease deals across 393 other outlets to stay afloat.
Shoppers Won’t Feel the Pinch — For Now
All UK stores will operate as usual throughout the process. New Look’s online sales will continue unaffected, ensuring customers can still bag the latest fashion without disruption.
