Teenage boys ‘robbed at knifepoint’ on 229 bus in Bexley High Street – police release images of suspects.

Police are appealing for help to identify two men after a shocking knifepoint robbery targeting two 16-year-old boys on a 229 bus travelling through Bexley High Street.

The incident occurred at approximately 4.15pm on Monday, February 19, but images of the suspects have only now been released by the Metropolitan Police, as part of a renewed public appeal.

According to officers, the teenage victims were threatened with knives and robbed of their phones while onboard the busy double-decker bus. No injuries were reported, but both boys were left shaken by the ordeal.

CCTV Images Released

CCTV stills from the day of the robbery show two males — both dressed in black hoodies — one seen climbing the stairs inside the bus, and the other standing just outside.

A spokesperson for MPS Bexley said:
“We are asking anyone who recognises these two individuals or who witnessed the incident to come forward and assist with our investigation.”

Public Urged to Assist

Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting reference 4889/19Feb, or report anonymously to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

The robbery is part of a wider concern over rising knife crime incidents on public transport, particularly those involving young victims in outer London boroughs like Bexley.
