Tragic A35 Crash Claims Young Man’s Life
Dorset Police rushed to a horrifying crash early Tuesday morning on the A35 near Miles Cross junction. A lorry, a white Mercedes Sprinter van, and a Volvo V40 were involved in the smash at 5.22am.
20-Year-Old Jack Bray Dies at Scene
Emergency crews, including fire and ambulance services, scrambled to the scene. Sadly, Jack Bray, just 20 and from Newton Abbott, Devon, was pronounced dead at the site. His family described him as “the most smiley, happy and purest person with a heart of gold.”
“Our hearts are broken as he was taken far too soon and had so much more to give – he will be missed by so many.”
“We would respectfully request that family and friends are allowed to grieve in private at this very difficult time.”
Other Drivers Injured or Unharmed
- The HGV driver, a woman in her 20s from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, suffered serious injuries and is now in hospital.
- The Volvo’s driver, a man in his 50s from Paignton, Devon, escaped unharmed.
Police Plea for Witnesses
Sergeant Jay Griffin from Dorset’s traffic unit said: “Our thoughts are with Jack’s family and loved ones at this extremely difficult time. We are investigating to establish the full circumstances.”
He urged anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward immediately.
