Thousands Gather in Portsmouth for Stirring Remembrance
Thousands packed Portsmouth’s Guildhall Square this morning to honour British and Commonwealth heroes from the World Wars and later battles. The city came together in a moving tribute to servicemen and women, both military and civilian.
Royal Marines Lead the Solemn Parade
Serving troops and veterans marched proudly into the square, led by the powerful sound of The Royal Marines Band. The crowd stood united in respect and remembrance.
“We will remember them,” echoed the solemn vow across the city.
