London to Brighton Veteran Car Run Roars Back This Sunday!

The iconic London to Brighton Veteran Car Run is back on Sunday, 6th November. Classic car lovers, get ready!

Starting Line: Hyde Park, London

The vintage vehicle procession kicks off from Hyde Park, London. It follows the historic A23 route, cruising through Surrey and Sussex before finishing up in style at Madeira Drive, Brighton.

Route Highlights and Road Closures

  • From Horley, the convoy passes Gatwick Airport via the A23.
  • Drivers head into Crawley along the A2219, Boulevard, and College Road.
  • The run rolls through Pease Pottage, Handcross, Hammer Hill, and Cuckfield via Brighton Road.
  • It continues through Burgess Hill and Hassocks, then down Clayton Hill to Pyecombe.
  • Finally, the veteran cars make their grand arrival on Madeira Drive, which is closed off to all but registered veteran vehicles.

Important Road Closures & Traffic Control

  • Hammer Hill – Cuckfield (B2114): Northbound closed from Rose Cottage Lane to Sloughgreen Lane. One-way southbound only.
  • Cuckfield High Street (B2036): Northbound closed from Leyton Lea to Broad Street. Southbound open to veteran cars and public. One-way southbound order.
  • Stonepound Crossroads, Hassocks (A273): Traffic marshals will prioritise southbound veteran cars at traffic lights.
  • Clayton Hill (A273): Northbound closed from Clayton Hill/New Road junction to just north of Pyecombe Golf Club. One-way southbound only.

Emergency, pedestrian, and resident access will be maintained throughout the event.
