On Monday, October 14, 2024, a truck caught fire on the A289 Hasted Road in Wainscott, Rochester, sparking a swift response from Kent Fire and Rescue Service. Two fire engines were rushed to the scene as thick smoke billowed over the busy route.
Firefighters Battle Flames with High-Pressure Jets
Crews, equipped with breathing apparatus, attacked the blaze using high-pressure hose reel jets. Their quick action prevented the fire from spreading further. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident.
