Two Left Fighting for Life After Horror Crash on M27 Near Portsmouth
Two men are in critical condition following a terrifying crash on the M27 near Portsmouth on Sunday night.
Serious Collision Tears Through M27
Police were called to the scene at 11.15pm after a blue Vauxhall Corsa flipped onto its roof on the eastbound carriageway between Fareham and Portsmouth. The car, carrying three young men, careered up a grass embankment before coming to a dramatic stop.
Three Men Injured, One With Life-Threatening Wounds
- The 20-year-old driver was seriously injured and rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital.
- A 19-year-old front-seat passenger was freed by Hampshire Fire and Rescue and taken to Southampton General with a severe head injury.
- The 20-year-old rear passenger was also cut free and taken to Queen Alexandra with life-threatening injuries.
Six-Hour Road Closure as Police Probe Crash
The M27 was shut for over six hours while officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit combed the scene to establish what caused the crash.
