Dramatic Rescue as Fishing Boat Sinks Off Isle of Man
Two fishermen were plucked from danger after their vessel sank off the Isle of Man. The drama kicked off at 6pm when the crew activated their Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs) from their life raft, raising the alarm with Belfast Coastguard.
Quick Response from Lifeboats and Helicopter
The 10-metre Isle of Man-registered fishing boat went down soon after the distress call. HM Coastguard sprang into action, deploying RNLI lifeboats from Port St Mary and Port Erin, plus the Coastguard rescue helicopter from Caernarfon.
Fishermen Found Safe and Sound
Thanks to precise beacon signals, rescuers spotted the men wearing life jackets on their life raft. The Port Erin RNLI lifeboat crew hauled them to safety.
Another harrowing sea rescue ends well, proving once again that vigilance and quick response save lives.
