Massive Field Blaze Near Cobham Quashed
Firefighters battled a huge field fire off Church Road near Cobham that erupted around 6.45pm this evening.
Huge Fire Response on Scene
At its peak, the fire response included 15 fire engines, a bulk water carrier, four all-terrain vehicles, and a technical rescue unit. The crews worked hard to contain the blaze and have now extinguished it.
Firefighters Stay Overnight to Tackle Hotspots
Though the main flames are out, fire crews remain on site damping down and checking for hotspots. They are expected to stay through the night to prevent any flare-ups.
No Injuries as Cause Remains Unknown
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Due to heavy smoke, locals and workers nearby are urged to keep windows and doors closed as a safety precaution.
