Van Hits Traffic Island Ploughing into Portsea Flats Wall
A driver was treated by medic after a freak accident in Queen Street, Portsea on Saturday evening. The red Vauxhall combo van careered off the road and smashed into a wall outside the flats next to the George Hotel just after 8pm. Emergency Services were called to the scene and fire crews from Southsea made the vehicle safe. The driver escaped with minor injuries. Council contractors Colas were called to make the wall safe and Boarhunt recovery removed the vehicle and cleaned up a small oil spill from the vehicle
