Thousands in West London Face Water Crisis

Thousands of households across west and southwest London are battling low water pressure or no water at all. Thames Water has revealed a power supply glitch hit the Ashford and Hampton treatment plants, sparking the major disruption.

Which Areas Are Affected?

1 Water has pinpointed a long list of hit postcodes, including SW4, SW8, SW9, SW13, SW14, SW15, SW18, SW19, TW1 through TW14 (with some gaps), TW17, plus W1H, W1M, W1N, W2, W3, W4, W6, W7, W10, W12, W13, and W14.

Thames Water had earlier included more postcodes but have since updated the list. The company is scrambling to fix the power fault and restore water to affected homes.

Local MP Slams Prolonged Chaos

“This disruption has hit our community hard,” said Munira Wilson, MP for Twickenham. “Some schools have had to close due to no water. Thames Water must get this sorted immediately.”
