Woman Dies After Car Flips on A35 Near Cat and Fiddle Pub
Crash on Lyndhurst Road Leaves Driver Trapped
Tragedy struck yesterday afternoon on the A35 Lyndhurst Road in Hinton. At around 3pm on August 8, police rushed to the scene after reports of a Ford Focus accident. The car had flipped onto its side and slammed into a lamp post close to the Cat and Fiddle pub.
The female driver, aged 65 and from Bedfordshire, was trapped inside the wreck. Emergency crews freed her and rushed her to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton General Hospital, but she sadly died shortly after arrival.
Police Probe Possible Medical Episode
Officers are now investigating the crash and believe the tragedy may have been triggered by a medical episode while driving. Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the aftermath or the moments leading up to the smash.
