Woman Hurt in Abbey Wood Crash, Hospitalised
A woman has been rushed to hospital after a crash on Abbey Road, Abbey Wood, earlier today. The smash happened just before 10am, sparking road closures and traffic chaos.
Quick Response from Ambulance Crew
London Ambulance Service arrived swiftly after the 9:56am call. They found the woman with minor injuries and treated her at the scene. She was then taken to a nearby hospital for further care. Her current condition has not been revealed.
Road Closures and Bus Diversions
Police have shut Abbey Road between Fossington Road and New Road while they investigate. Bus route 229 is also diverted, causing delays for commuters.
Investigation Underway
The Metropolitan Police have launched an inquiry to uncover how the crash occurred.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, “We were called at 9.56 am today (November 3) to reports of a road traffic collision on Abbey Road, SE2. We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer to the scene. We treated a woman at the scene for minor injuries and took her to the hospital.”
