In a gripping interview on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Alice detailed the lasting damage Brand’s alleged abuse caused her. “It left me feeling cheap and dirtied,” she said bluntly. She slammed Brand’s denial as “insulting” and brushed off ideas of a mainstream media conspiracy, pointing out that Brand himself was a mainstream media figure.
“He was part of the system,” Alice insisted. “So the notion of an industry cover-up doesn’t hold water.”

Alice did not hold back in questioning the BBC’s response. She said more should have been done back in 2006 when her alleged relationship with Brand unfolded. She highlighted Brand’s history of “inappropriate on-air antics” that seemed to get ignored. “He wasn’t held to the same standard as other presenters or newsreaders. There were clear exceptions made for him that need investigating,” she added.
