Huge Darknet Child Abuse Sites BUSTED in Major German Police Raid
German cops have smashed three massive Darknet platforms used to share vile child abuse images. The sites, named “BoyVids 6.0”, “Forbidden Love” and “Child Porn Market”, hooked hundreds of thousands of users worldwide, making them some of the largest hubs for spreading horrific content.
What Is the Darknet?
The Darknet is a secretive corner of the internet accessed only through special software. While it can be used for legit privacy reasons, it’s also a playground for criminals running shady marketplaces and illegal content, often hiding their identities from authorities.
Four Arrested, Including Alleged Ring Leader
The German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) revealed they arrested four men tied to the nasty operations. The ringleader is said to be a 21-year-old from Saxony who managed the sites, carefully disguising user identities. Two others – a 44-year-old in Lower Saxony and a 45-year-old from Schleswig-Holstein – were nabbed in raids last November and December. The final suspect was caught in Brazil.
Top Officials Praise ‘Important Strike’
German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser hailed the bust as “an important strike against the spread of horrific images of sexualized violence against children.”
The case is being investigated by the BKA on behalf of Frankfurt’s Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Central Office for Combating Internet Crime. Authorities are now hunting down individual users of the terror sites.
