A 39-year-old man is to appear in court after officers found £35,000 in a van in Folkestone.
During the afternoon of Sunday 1 November 2020, police stopped a van going outbound at the Channel Tunnel terminal and seized the cash found in the vehicle.
Jetnor Lala, of Goldsmith Road, London, was charged on Monday 2 November with one count of possessing criminal property.
Mr Lala appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court the following day and was remanded in custody.
The case will be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on 1 December.
