General Pak Jong Chon, a key North Korean military leader, declared Russia has the “right to opt for any kind of retaliatory strike.” He cautioned that if Washington keeps pushing Ukraine into a “proxy war” against Moscow, it could spark a harsher Russian response—and even a “new world war.”
Russia-North Korea Military Ties Raise Alarm
The expanding military partnership between Russia and North Korea has sparked fears in the US and South Korea. Both nations have been accused of breaking international laws due to their arms trade. A Washington Post report claims North Korea may have supplied around 1.6 million artillery shells to Russia from August through January.
